The Streets of Manila from Inside a Car – Part 2

with 180 comments

A continuation of my previous post about taking pictures of the street from inside a car. I managed to find some more pictures that I liked and decided to show them off here in the blog. Enjoy!

“A classic car stuck in traffic (well, us too…) on the Southern Luzon Expressway – I wonder if it had air-conditioning….”

“Caution”

“Metro-aide – Public street cleaners (Must be a really tough job in the hot and humid Philippine weather)”

“The Doorman”

“OK, he was CLEARLY blocking the driveway!”

“Umm…. guys, I think we have found Superman’s secret hideout!!!”

“I can’t imagine this to be a very comfortable position to sleep in…”

“Tricycles” “Pedicabs”

“Early morning traffic (although this was still pretty tame)”

“Polluter – Who knew that the little motorcycle engine could spew so much smoke!? He needs to get that checked out!”

  41. just to correct, that “Tricycle” is not really called tricycle…. its called PEDICAB…”pedi” for feet because your feet will do the work, and “cab” is the transpo itself… Tricycles are operated by machine, pedicabs are by feet… food for the mind… 😉 but great work btw…kudos!;)

  117. I love the photos especially the first one (I have to see a car like that!) Some scenes may not be pleasing to the eye but you seemed to make their mood lighter. You captured everyday life in Manila and placed some witty captions. This post is entertaining. It is indeed worthy of being in the Freshly Pressed. Please keep blogging more posts like this!
